How to Connect two Computer in a Local Area Network ( LAN ) using Cat5 Cable and RJ45 Ethernet port.
Connect both computer with a CAT5 cable through RJ45 Ethernet Port
Power ON both Computer
COMPUTER # 1 , PART- 1
Open - Network and Sharing Centre
>Local area Connection
>Properties
>Internet Protocol version 4 (TCV/IPv4)
>Properties
>Use the Following IP Address
IP address - 192.168.2.1 (If already used by other devices, then use another IP)
Subnet mask- 255.255.255.0 (After enter IP address press TAB button , Subnet mask automatically comes)
>OK>CLOSE>CLOSE
COMPUTER # 2 , PART- 1
Open - Network and Sharing Centre
>Local area Connection
>Properties
>Internet Protocol version 4 (TCV/IPv4)
>Properties
>Use the Following IP Address
IP address - 192.168.2.2
Subnet mask- 255.255.255.0 (After enter IP address press TAB button , Subnet mask automatically comes)
>OK >CLOSE >CLOSE
COMPUTER # 1 , PART- 2
Go to MY Computer and Right click on a drive which you want to share
>Properties>Sharing(TAB)>Advance Sharing> CHECK- Share this folder>Permission
Choose permission
APPLY >OK >APPLY >OK >CLOSE
COMPUTER # 2 , PART- 2
Go to MY Computer and Right click on a drive which you want to share
>Properties>Sharing(TAB)>Advance Sharing> CHECK- Share this folder>Permission
Choose permission
APPLY >OK >APPLY >OK >CLOSE
COMPUTER # 1 , PART- 3
Open My computer>Network>Select PC> Browse for Shared folder.
COMPUTER # 2 , PART- 3
Open My computer>Network>Select PC> Browse for Shared folder
