How to Install Knoppix in your Hard Disk (HDD) . Dual Boot

Hello Friend, This is a complete tutorial on HOW TO INSTALL KNOPPIX IN HDD .

First you have to download Knoppix . Click Here

Now take a DVD and burn this .iso image or make a bootable USB flash Drive.

Now Restart your computer and go to boot menu

Select Boot from CD/DVD drive or boot from USB flash drive

 

Now go to START> Knoppix > Knoppix HD Install

>Accept and Continue

>Continue

Now it will show

(1) No enough swap space found

(2) No usable install-partition found

Now select - Start GParted Disk Partitioner

>OK

>YES

Now select a Partition for Swap memory (100MB Minimun)

>Format it to LINUX SWAP

>CHECK

>APPLY

>CLOSE

Now select a Partition for Install-Partition (Take at least 15GB for better performance)

>Format it to REISERFS

>CHECK

>APPLY

>CLOSE

Now close GParted

Again Check for Installation Requirement

>OK

Now select Partition

>OK

>OK

Now Installing KNOPPIX .....

Now Installation Complete.

Now Install Bootloader

>OK>Install GRUB MENU

>OK>OK

Wait for window comes with " Installation Successful"

>REBOOT>OK
